What Can We Offer to the Global Community? — A Report from Da Nang Nomad Fest

Explore Haruka’s journey to Vietnam, our first overseas Ikigai workshop, and the powerful synergy of the Asian nomad ecosystem paving the way to Fukuoka 2026.

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for stopping by our blog.
I’m Haruka, a host member of the Colive Fukuoka team.
Last month, I embarked on a long journey from Italy to Vietnam. Representing Colive Fukuoka, I wore our traditional Japanese "Happi" coat — a symbol of our culture — and literally worked to spread "Happi-ness" (happiness) to the world. It was a truly profound experience, filled with meaningful connections.
Deep Diving into "Ikigai": A Workshop Beyond Words
The undeniable highlight of our time in Da Nang was hosting our very first overseas workshop centered on "Ikigai" — a core value we cherish at Colive Fukuoka.
We screened a documentary film produced in Fukuoka by Eliott Reguera last year, using it as a catalyst to reflect on what gives our lives meaning. One participant shared a thought that resonated deeply with all of us:
"To simply reflect and feel the happiness of being alive, breathing, and just being here — that is enough."
While the globally recognized Venn diagram defines Ikigai as a balance of mission and career, we believe true Ikigai also dwells in the subtle ability to "feel" small joys in everyday life. Sharing these Japanese "accents" with the global community and fostering new connections through our beautiful language was an incredibly rewarding experience for me.
Expanding the Ripple: Our Shared Asian Synergy
Beyond the sessions, the time we spent co-creating a shared space with the Taiwan Digital Nomad Association (TDNA), with the generous support of the Da Nang Nomad Fest, was deeply moving.
The energy generated by over 150 participants was a testament to the powerful synergy within Asia. This is exactly what Colive Fukuoka strives to achieve. Our mission goes beyond a ten-day event in October; we believe our true value lies in building a year-round ecosystem where Asian communities support and elevate one another.
See You in Fukuoka👋
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the participants in Da Nang who welcomed us so warmly. To me, this movement of sharing thoughts and connecting hearts is a form of "Ikigai" in itself.
Now, we want to take the next step with you. We are ready to co-create a new "Ikigai" and lasting impact together in Fukuoka this October.
Fukuoka is calling. We can't wait to see you there.
